Open Domains

AI / Machine Learning Full Stack — Web Full Stack — Mobile Hardware Engineering

What You'll Do

  • Work on real-world healthcare AI problems with direct clinical relevance
  • Contribute to product development, experimentation, and model iteration
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, clinicians, and researchers

Who Should Apply

  • Final-year BTech or MTech students, or recent graduates
  • Strong fundamentals in your domain and a genuine willingness to learn
  • Interest in healthcare AI and motivation to work on meaningful problems
  • Ability to work on-site in Thiruvananthapuram or in a hybrid arrangement
Full-time

AI Engineers — 2–3 Years Experience

We are looking for engineers who want to work on challenging computer vision problems in medical imaging — building the AI that pathologists will rely on.

📍 Thiruvananthapuram 🕐 Full-time Apply Now

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimise AI/ML models for medical imaging — classification, detection, and segmentation on pathology and colposcopy data
  • Build and maintain end-to-end ML pipelines: data ingestion → preprocessing → training → evaluation → deployment
  • Work with large-scale WSI datasets including tiling, patch extraction, and multi-resolution analysis
  • Experiment with state-of-the-art architectures — CNNs, Vision Transformers, foundation models — and benchmark performance
  • Implement model evaluation frameworks using AUC, F1, Dice, and IoU, ensuring clinical relevance
  • Optimise models for inference performance, scalability, and cost efficiency in cloud environments
  • Collaborate with clinicians to translate medical requirements into AI solutions
  • Contribute to research, documentation, and reproducibility of experiments

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of hands-on experience in AI/ML, preferably in computer vision
  • Strong Python skills with experience in PyTorch (preferred) or TensorFlow
  • Solid understanding of deep learning fundamentals — CNNs, transformers, training strategies, overfitting, generalisation
  • Experience with data handling, preprocessing, and augmentation techniques for image datasets
  • Familiarity with ML experimentation tools (e.g., Weights & Biases) and version control (Git)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure) and model deployment is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Prior exposure to medical imaging or healthcare AI is a strong advantage — not mandatory

Part-time researchers & advisors

We collaborate with clinicians, researchers, data scientists, and domain experts to advance our technology. If your expertise overlaps with our work, we'd love to explore how we can collaborate.

AI / Machine Learning

Research collaboration on model architectures, training strategies, and evaluation frameworks for medical image analysis.

Digital Pathology

Advisory on WSI analysis workflows, histopathological interpretation, and the clinical validity of AI-generated outputs.

Gynaecology & Oncology

Clinical insight into cervical, breast, and endometrial cancer pathways — helping us validate products against real clinical needs.

Hardware Engineering

Collaboration on optical systems, embedded imaging, and the design of affordable, high-performance medical devices.

Scope of collaboration

Research collaborations and publications · Model experimentation and validation · Advisory on clinical or technical domains. Flexible engagement — we work around your existing commitments.

Express Interest

A team worth joining

We are at an early and exciting stage — small enough that every person has a meaningful impact, and ambitious enough to be tackling problems that can change how cancer is diagnosed across an entire region.

You'll work directly with clinicians, not just software. You'll see your work tested in real clinical environments. And you'll build expertise at the intersection of AI, medical devices, and healthcare delivery — one of the most consequential spaces in technology today.

High-Impact Problems

Work on technology that directly affects diagnostic accuracy and patient outcomes for millions of women.

Founding-Stage Ownership

Shape the product, the culture, and the company from an early stage — with real responsibility and autonomy.

Multidisciplinary Team

Learn from colleagues across AI, hardware engineering, clinical medicine, and product development.

SCTIMST Ecosystem

Based at one of India's premier biomedical research institutions — access to clinical collaborators and infrastructure.
